Karen Cooke

Karen Cooke was born in Concord, Massachusetts and received her undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire in 1978. She graduated from Brooklyn Law School in New York in 1988 where she was co-chairman of the Moot Court Honor Society.

For five years Ms. Cooke worked as an associate at Mound, Cotton & Wollan in New York City where she represented insurance companies in state and federal court. In 1995 she moved to the Washington metropolitan area and was admitted to the Maryland State Bar in 1999. She became associated with the firm of Coggins, Harman & Hewitt for twelve years where her civil litigation practice focused on torts, personal injury and medical malpractice.

Ms. Cooke joined the firm of Gleason, Flynn, Emig and Fogleman, Chartered in 2010.

Currently Ms. Cooke is a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association and the Maryland State Bar Association. She is also admitted to practice in the New York State Bar (1989), U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York (1989), and the U.S. District Court of Maryland (2009).
