Matthew J. Focht

Matthew J. Focht is a 1995 graduate of Loyola College in Maryland, with a major in Political Science and a minor in Philosophy. He earned his law degree in 2001 from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. He is a member of the Maryland and District of Columbia bars and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Districts of Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Mr. Focht joined Gleason, Flynn, Emig & Fogleman, Chartered in May 2004. He handles all aspects of civil litigation at the state and federal level throughout Maryland and the District of Columbia, with a concentration in plaintiff's personal injury cases. Mr. Focht has significant experience in defending a variety of tort suits and also has an interest in appellate practice, having recently argued the case of Frankel v. Friolo, 171 Md. App. 441, 907 A.2d 363 (2005) before the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. Before joining Gleason, Flynn, Emig & Fogleman, Chartered, Mr. Focht was an associate at Riselli & Pressler, P.C., in Washington, D.C. where he successfully handled numerous plaintiff's personal injury cases.

Matt Focht is a member of the American Bar Association and the Montgomery County Bar Association.
