Michael Flynn received the highest honors available to a trial lawyer, including Fellowship in the American College of Trial Lawyers, and election to the membership in the American Board of Trial Advocates. He holds an "AV" rating from Martindale-Hubble. He has been named by the Washingtonian Magazine as one of "Washington's Best Lawyers" in the field of Civil Litigation.
His practice areas include: Business Litigation, Medical Malpractice, Personal Injury, Products Liability, and Premises Liability. He has also represented healthcare professionals in disciplinary and privileging matters, and attorneys in disciplinary matters.
Since completing his judicial clerkship at the Honorable Albert T. Blackwell in the Circuit Court for Prince George's County in 1978, Mr. Flynn has practiced continuously in the Washington Metropolitan Area since 1979. He is a member of the Maryland and District of Columbia Bars. He is also a member of the Bars United States District Court for District of Maryland, United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, United States Circuit Court for the District of Columbia Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Mr. Flynn has served as Chair of the Insurance Section of the Montgomery County Bar Association. He also has served as a special mediator appointed by the Circuit Court for Montgomery County in complex civil litigation cases. Mr. Flynn is a life long resident of the Washington Metropolitan Area, having graduated from Gonzaga College High School, the University of Maryland, and the University of Baltimore Law School. He has served on a variety of civic and church related boards and has coached youth athletic teams for over 30 years.
